The thing i love most about photography: capturing amazing times for those close to me. it is my gift to them. a thank you for their friendship and love for so many years. Enter Jessie, Reese & Brendan. I had this vision and thankfully they went for it - I wanted Jessie holding a nakey Reese and I wanted her gorgeous baby growing belly exposed. How gorgeous that her two little loves, one inside and one already outside in this world are intertwined in this image. The first photo of the three of them. So raw and real. This image is something she will (hopefully!) cherish forever. Below are some more from our day together..
This (above image) was the very first image I shot for this gorgeous couple's wedding weekend - totally unposed and candid as I happened to be walking behind them on the way to their rehearsal dinner. It was in this moment, on this gorgeous intimate street of San Jose Del Cabo that I knew it was going to be a weekend full of beauty. Cabo is one of my favorite places. It is where I spent many spring breaks and a honeymoon with my hubs, but I have never explored San Jose Del Cabo and I am sorry it took me this long to do so. It is a gem and this couple and their wedding has made it forever special to me.
Just got home from shooting a beautiful wedding in Tulum, Mexico. There is something about shooting a wedding barefoot, with the tropical breeze blowing and balmy evenings. All of that was amazing, but what really made this wedding special was the bride & groom, their wedding parties and their family and friends. There was so much love and happiness throughout the day. Bridesmaids helping the bride in any way possible, the groom tearing up during the first look and aunts and family members giving me hugs and thanking ME for being a part of their day! Such sweet people surround these two and I am so happy for them. Here are some highlights from the day..
So far 2017 has seemed to be the year of maternity & babies and I love it! Here are some highlights from shoots so far this year. I love to just ride the wave - as I call it - with my business. If lots of maternity and newborn sessions come my way I am happy and say bring them on! It is an honor to capture such a happy time for these couples.
Wow, rounding up a whole year of images is emotionally exhausting. I kept opening up projects and saying, no way was that in 2016! I felt like things were 3 years ago that were actually only in the last 6 months. Taught me a big lesson. I am always looking forward, where am I traveling to next, what is my next wedding, what can I do new with by business? As much as it's important to set goals and have new ideas, it is just as important to be thankful and remind yourself all that you have accomplished. Cliche New Year post I know. I am one of those, but seriously. Treat yourself. Get a cup of coffee and look through your past year. slowly. My motto for this year: Do more for me. By that I mean, shoot what I feel is right, not what Pinterest or Wedding Blogs make you think you need or want. Get away from the normal and create images that make you feel. Here is a round up of some amazing times thanks to 2016:
