El Camino Travel X Colombia X Show Me Your Mumu
If you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat at all I am sure you gathered that I was in Colombia a few weeks ago. I came home from that trip feeling like basically a big ball of inspiration and color and really really tired. A mixture of the city we were in and the group we were with made for the most photo opportunities I could imagine. I honestly could of just held my shutter button down for 5 straight days and came home with all my photos being usable images. Needless to say, it has taken me a while to go through all the photos from the trip, edit them and pick my favorites for a blog post.
Before I get into all the photos I want to quickly explain the amazing company that gave me the opportunity to travel to Colombia in the first place. Enter, El Camino Travel. El Camino travel is a group travel company that is rooted in curating unique travel experiences with an emphasis on exploring new cities, eating incredible food, learning about new cultures and giving back. Proceeds from each trip go back to a local entrepreneur that is doing their part in radically changing the face of their country. I may be biased, but I think the coolest aspect of the El Camino trips is that they send a photographer down with your group as part of the fee. The photographer's goal is to capture the entire trip for you from beginning to end so you don't have to worry about taking out your phone or carrying a camera around with you. We are living in a society that's need for instant gratification is undeniable. People are so "share" driven and eager to post their experiences on social media in real time and El Camino has a solution for that. The photographer on the trip delivers high resolution edited images to your email every morning that you are free and encouraged to share.
The particular trip I went on happened to be a bachelorette weekend for Cammy of Show Me Your Mumu and let me tell you. They. Are. A. Good. Time. 22 of the most colorful, vibrant girls all dressed in Mu paired with the colorful doors and cobble stone streets... I was basically in Photographer Heaven. We shot a fun lookbook for a new Show Me Your Mumu collection that I will share when I get the okay, but here are my favorites from the trip...
